Vancouver-based digital creative agency All Purpose is proud to announce their B Corporation (B Corp) status, a designation that represents their commitment to their company culture and corporate responsibility, and one they are deeply proud of.
Founded in 2017, All Purpose has helped large organizations and Fortune 500 companies amplify their employee and corporate social goals by creating web-based tools, educational content, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) solutions. Applying many of the same internal principles and priorities that helped All Purpose achieve their B Corp designation, such as employee education and upskilling, the team of creators, innovators, and designers remains committed to creating digital experiences that support world-changing initiatives.
“Being recognized as one of 3,499 B Corporations worldwide, and to be amongst other great, ethical companies like Patagonia is such an honour,” says Leena Manro, Co-Founder and Director, All Purpose. “We help companies do better, and that starts with doing good work internally. We’re proud of the culture we’ve created and the impact we’ve had on our employees and community.”
A collaborative process from start to finish, All Purpose received their B Corp designation in June of this year, a milestone they’ve long been striving for. Led by Manro and Co-Founder and Director Jason Landry, the team, which operates with a flat hierarchical structure, involved their senior creators and designers as well as support staff in the certification process, making for a fully collaborative process from start to finish.
To achieve a B Corp status, a company must exemplify and meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. All Purpose is among qualifiers such as Hootsuite, TOMS, and Patagonia.
“B Corporations set the standard of excellence so many of us are striving for,” says Landry. “They inspire us to look beyond just our company’s impact on our shareholders and examine our impact on our communities, our people, and the world. To put it simply, the B Corporation movement is one of the most important movements of our time.”
The All Purpose team is a talented group of 40 award-winning creatives based in Vancouver, Canada. Combined, the team is fluent in 11 languages, such as Russian, Hindi, and Mandarin, languages that well represent the diversity of Vancouver.
“Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion has been a long-standing mandate at All Purpose. We lead by example by caring for our employees and helping large organizations and Fortune 500 companies do the same. We’re going to continue using our company as a vessel for good,” says Manro.
